Accessories – we have lots, check them out over here.
Blue-light lenses - these lenses are specifically designed to filter out the harmful blue-violet light rays that are commonly emitted from digital screens. And since we know that this last year you’ve probably had more screen time than ever, they are highly recommended.
Color Blindness - Color blindness happens when you are unable to see colors in a normal way. It is also known as color deficiency. Color blindness often happens when someone cannot distinguish between certain colors. This usually happens between greens and reds, and occasionally blues.

Demo lense - if you’re ordering just glasses (no prescription or sun lense) your lenses will be demo lense, a.k.a. dummy lense, it’s probably the only time you’ll be allowed to say that word.
Eyes - it’s what we do, hence, MEsquad EYEwear.
Farsightedness - a.k.a.hyperopia is a common vision condition in which you can see distant objects clearly, but objects nearby may be blurry.
Glasses - can we get a high-five for these inventions that help us see?!?!? We’ll write a blog about the pin-hole experiment soon. But to make a super complicated, scientific long story short, you would probably be walking around with paper and a tiny-hole in it if glasses did not exist. Hands up to Salvino D’Armate, the probably, maybe, almost certain inventor of glasses. We should probably write a blog post on that too.
Hyperopia - see “farsightedness”

Kids - no matter our age, we aspire to be kids again
Light-adaptive lense - transitions from clear to a darker tint (grey) when exposed to UV rays, rain or shine. Available in polycarbonate.
MEsquad - Hey, that’s us!! We created something that allows you to design what people see first - your glasses that are on your face.
Nearsightedness - a.k.a. myopia is a common vision condition in which you can see objects near to you clearly, but objects farther away are blurry. It occurs when the shape of your eye causes light rays to bend (refract) incorrectly, focusing images in front of your retina instead of on your retina.
OD/OS - Oculus Dexter (OD) – means “right eye” in Latin, Oculus Sinister (OS) means “left eye” in Latin
Polycarbonate - Thinner and lighter than plastic, polycarbonate (impact-resistant) lenses are shatter-proof and provide 100% UV protection, making them the optimal choice for kids and active adults.
Quack, quack - We found only 1 word that started with a Q in the optical world, but it was so complicated that even we didn’t understand it. But we sure love ducks, quack, quack.
Retina - The retina is a thin layer of tissue that lines the back of the eye on the inside. The retina’s job is to receive light that the lens has focused, convert the light into neural signals, and send these signals on to the brain for visual recognition.
Sphere - the strength of your lense and it goes together with a “+” (farsighted) or “–“ (nearsighted)
Temple - another word for the arms of your glasses. Did you know that you can buy different arms to change up the look of your glasses, with your mood?
UV - You don’t have to understand all the science of UVA and UVB and how it can damage your eyes, but just know that all of our sunglasses have a coating that protect you from UVA and UVB.
Virtual try-on - Design your frame, and see what it looks like, as you designed it with our virtual try-on tool
X-ray vision - That will be our next invention – we’re working on it
