Insurance and Claims

Our insurance plan is a great way for you to protect your frames and lenses from expensive repairs or replacement of your purchase.

Our insurance plan provides you with coverage beyond any manufacturer’s warranty including protection from accidental damage from handling. Insurance is only available for Canadian and United States residents.

The price of the plan is $49.99 and covers you for your frame front, hinges, temples and lenses. The added insurance is valid from 1 year of date of purchase. There is no insurance available for any accessories, final sale items, promotional items, charms, add-ons or anything other than the actual parts of the frame.

You will receive the exact frame with the prescription that you chose in your initial purchase.  The insurance will not cover a changing prescription or a colour swap.  However, if the colours of the parts in your claim are no longer available, we will ask you to choose a different colour. We will only replace the damaged part. You will not receive a monetary reimbursement. This insurance is only for replacement of frames and lenses above and beyond the manufacturers warranty.

Please complete and submit the Claimant Form, with all documentation to hello@mesquad.ca and put in the subject line: INSURANCE CLAIM. With the form, please include the following:

• Original Sales Receipt
• Copy of your Credit Card Statement or Paypal statement showing the charge
• A picture of the damaged frame

Any incomplete forms or missing documentation may result in the delay of claim processing.
